Training consists of two separate components, which are classroom training and a skill demonstration session. Employees will participate in a classroom training session covering basic information, rules, operational procedures, acceptable practices, prohibited practices, operational maintenance responsibilities, and safe operation guidelines. Students who successfully complete the classroom portion of the class are eligible to train on the requesting organizations equipment accompanied by skilled operator. Workers who complete both the class room and the skill performance sections of the program will perform OJT during normal work under the guidance and supervision of a foreman or approved equipment operator.
